Justin Edelstein: Fine Yeah, you sound like me two three weeks ago. What was that three weeks ago four weeks ago? So it was after a sporting event.

Jason Atwood: Yeah, it was rough. This is me getting sick before Dreamforce not good It's no not good. No, though It's the Thursday before Dreamforce. I'm figuring if I fly out on Saturday Two days from now. Saturday, Sunday can be completely wipe days. I just have to be back in motion on Monday I think you need to be back Sunday. Nope You need one day of full capacity before the full battery charge kicks in. I could, right, I think this will be, tonight will be the pinnacle. I hope so. And we'll see. For your sake. It's going down.

Justin Edelstein: And me sitting directly across from you talking directly at each other for the next, I don't know, 35, 40 minutes doesn't hinder my... Whatever. Healthiness. I'm so healthy right now. It's unbelievable. Oh. Good that you just said that now you're definitely gonna be Ebola when we get into our dream force tips and hints I'll talk about a way that I use to knock it.

Jason Atwood: Let's do that So we have a huge huge huge amount to say and talk about we have to blog posts both dream force 14 related 14 or 15. Okay. Yes. I did post a dream force 15 blog post. It was prognosticating. I was writing a bunch of winter 15 things. And then we have, we will break open. This is something we're doing just for you, Hoyle listeners. We are actually going to tell you about our brand new product in advance before anybody else. You are the first people, if you're listening to this podcast, you're the first people other than the people here at Arkus. In fact, some people, in fact, there might be people at Arkus. They've been left in the dark. Yeah. Bye. So we're gonna talk about our brand new product, which we're launching at Dreamforce.

Jason Atwood: And- We're launching it right now. With you. Well, whenever you download and listen to this, it could be next week. This could be after Dreamforce. Well, then you have been to our booth and you have seen it. So, and then that's it. We'll wrap it up. We'll take some CloudFocus pics a week.

Justin Edelstein: I People have already emailed me. I get emails.

Jason Atwood: They say, you make this a pick? Yeah. And you're like, oh, it's another app. I've never tried.

Justin Edelstein: I wanted to pick the Dreamforce app. Maybe it'll be out by the time we're done recording this, then I can pick it. That's terrible. That's as bad as... I was also going to pick our app. No, no. So I had like a bunch... Well, you picked Spring 14 once. Doesn't matter. No, no, no. Let's do whatever I want. I'm actually looking for we're both looking for the Dreamforce app right now. I see party force. Yeah, that's been a financial Every time I look there's this financial force thing they say it's coming.

03:11 Jason Atwood: All right. Well, you can you can pick it It's a terrible I don't even know what it is though. So that's the hard part I do that all the time so I guess I can get away with it new version of Salesforce one I wonder if it fixes I will be down. We're gonna be down like that right now. All right, let's get to it Let's talk about so we have two blog posts out this week. It's a big week and next week will be a bigger week The first was banking resources at Dreamforce 14. So since this is not a banking podcast It is not we are not gonna go over this in too much Just to know if you're interested in banking resources at Dreamforce 14 please go to blog.archasinc.com and read up on this.

Jason Atwood: I highlight a bunch of sessions basically that you should think about attending. But again, very banking specific and since there's not not everybody on this listener is a bank specific, we're gonna move on to the next one, which is the most important. We took everything in Dreamforce and we turned it into where to find Ooh, my voice is better on a type. When I try to I was where to find. August at Dreamforce 14 right the greatest 14 ever

Justin Edelstein: So this is your blog post this week double blog post double week double week might be a triple week Nope next week.

Jason Atwood: It's next, week But we are talking about all the places you can find us So, all the perceptions that will be in all the things we're doing Really Like literally all stuff including the the you know.-the booth which you can stop by and one or three two But why don't you pick one highlight one thing you'd like people to go to of all the things And it can't be the last thing because that's where I'm talking about separately. Yeah.

Justin Edelstein: Well, these are so Desperate they talk it's it's nice because they talk to a lot of different audiences If there is one thing that is near and dear to my heart, I mean, aside from seeing us podcast, I can't talk about that. We won't talk about Now But I I I Would say go to The Keeping it Simple with With Permission sets. This This Hisses. This This This This This Is A Session. That's That. That. That. That. For the Last. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. Other people at Arkus have Have done it And This This This Will be Ashley. Her first Time. Presenting. at Dreamforce. She's presenting a topic that I love permission sets.

Justin Edelstein: It's on Wednesday afternoon at 2 30. And it is in the admin zone. We, we're going to be in the admin zone. A lot. I'm going to live in the admin. It's like it's going to be pretty awesome in Moscone West.

Jason Atwood: That's you and there's a link here to it. Those don't work.

Justin Edelstein: Unless you're signed in to already signed in to this. Because it doesn't a redirect and and then click on these links because that will be a lot more useful for you. Yeah, and then you'll go right to the session where you can then say... Interesting, I didn't even know that. Yes,

06:47 Jason Atwood: I've been noticing that with the success, stream, forward slash whatever. I would say I'm gonna keep it simple and so as of......tongue-tongue-tongue-tongue-er, So anyway, as of two days ago, I was not going to speak, but as of yesterday, I. Am going to speak. So I am. Doing a session. I'm taking over for somebody because they were double booked. I just don't know if I know about this. This is gonna be a little tough man B1, click on the top. It is hands-on workshop, introduction to point and click app building on forest.com. I don't know if I'm qualified.

Justin Edelstein: I think you'll be okay.

Jason Atwood: So it is going. It is going to be hands-on. You bring your own, BYOC, bring your own computer. It is over in the admin zone as well in the theater, the admin zone theater, on Monday. And it is right after our podcast.

Justin Edelstein: Right. Now let's get into the podcast for Jason for like four straight hours. Oh so from 2 to 2. Cosponsors 2.4.2.2.2.2.2.,

Jason Atwood: You know, podcast, podcast zone, in my admin zone. We are going to be doing live. You're going to have. You're going to have. And we're doing that on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. So Monday is 2 to 2.45, Tuesday 12 to... 12.45 and Wednesday 1 to 1.45 always. Moscone West, put it in your calendar, book it, book it, book it, book it. So we'll be there. So yes, I will be going from 2 to 2.45, will take a half an hour to like hydrate. And now I'm going right in and telling people and do a hands-on workshop. So I didn't really want to speak this year, I will say. Me neither. Yeah, well you're not speaking. Although now you said you want to come and hang out with me and do this with me.

Jason Atwood: Well I offered to do that because it's as a favor for someone else.

Justin Edelstein: .. You know... I figured I would maybe help you out. Like you're having voice issues. Well, this is four days away. I'm hoping my voice issues won't be there. You know, I thought it'd be fun.

Jason Atwood: We could tag team. And we could tag team. Hey, listen, if you're a podcast listener and then you want to learn how to do, you know, quick, point quick app building on force.com and have us do like our routine while doing this, could be kind of funny. Like the Jake and Justin show. I like it. So anyway, so come by for all of that. That should be fun. a I just threw this in there, I didn't really even... Whatever, but let's give me some things that you do in preparation or at or whatever. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

10:22 Justin Edelstein: I'm sorry. These are kinda quirky. And they're specific to like me for example, okay As a as a man who goes to dream force I wear undershirts Oh, this is a travel tip, but okay travel tip, but but it's a dream force. We travel the dream force. Yes, so instead of like every year this one I buy new I just buy a new pack of T-shirts and sometimes I'll even buy them there so I don't have to pack them Yes I just go to the Dwayne Reed or the CBS or whatever I cross the street from the hotel and just grab a pack of T-shirts that's one thing whatever I Give one.

Jason Atwood: All right my my hint is I'm a We're going for a long time. We're going from Saturday to Friday, basically. We're flying out Thursday night. I may, so in travel, while it's expensive, expensive and not cost effective, I feel like it's the amount that it takes off my life, I do laundry on the road. Because between going running and working out, going to these events, changing, whatever. You don't want to book your bag. So I actually do use hotel laundry. And I just plan it so I have like one laundry. So I plan it on whatever day. And I'm like, okay, on this day I've had two of these. And I'll do it and I'll and I'll get it back within 24 hours and then I'll be able to do this. So like, I'm going to go and come back in the same outfit because I know I'm gonna do that laundry.

Jason Atwood: I will have just enough to get me through three days of working out so then I can do laundry and get me through the next two days or whatever that overlap is.

Justin Edelstein: So it is trying to say you workout every day. Yes,

Jason Atwood: Not today. Oh, this podcast is a bit of workout. Paying attention to you is sometimes a bit of work. Wow. Yeah. That's one of mine. All right. Give me now. Let's get more for specific. Dreamforce specific. This is specific.

Justin Edelstein: At Dreamforce and then I'd be miserable when I get home and I'd just be sick. Because there's just so many people and you're shaking so many hands and you're doing so much like interactivity with a lot of different people. Just partying. It's just crazy and you're out late and you're up early and all that stuff. This worked for me the last two years and I've already started my regimen. I go get a box, the emergency powder, and I start, I started today, Thursday, because I'm flying out Saturday. So I start two days before I fly out and I do one of those a day, every day, and I bring with me. through Dreamforce and then two days after when I get home. Very nice. And I haven't gotten sick the last two years. Very nice.

Justin Edelstein: I should have spent a week ago. A lot of people do hand sanitizer and all that nonsense. I don't really. I don't really believe in that stuff. No, I don't do that. I don't really do that. I might start fist bumping more than shaking hands. Oh yeah. I've heard that that thing. Yeah. So I'm going to throw that one in there too. Yeah, do that. Fist bump, no hand shake. I'm I'm fist yourself time.

13:58 Jason Atwood: To enjoy Dreamforce. They're on YouTube. Because while as much as the sessions are are are like a big part of Dreamforce, I don't even think they make my top five list of things I like to do with Dreamforce. So, I feel like leave yourself time to hang, to be with people, to explore, to just, you know, don't over session yourself. So,

Justin Edelstein: Can I clarify or ask a clarifying question? When you say sessions, we're talking breakout sessions. Keynotes. Well, those are keynotes.

Jason Atwood: Still, sessions. I would say even don't over-I mean. there. I mean there's a lot of keynotes. Pick a couple. Because eventually after the third day you are sitting in a dark room listening to some talking head go blah blah blah cloud blah blah blah cloud. I don't have that really look this way. That's what I say every time hey come to my session speaking of sessions You don't know you have session or change it up and do things like go to a hands-on work session cuz there's fun Like go watch your podcast be recorded live. That's right. Go do that stuff I I in my first couple years I would like literally booked myself but then I feel I'd be I'd be pulled in all these directions and want to meet with other people and Want to go walk the floor and like that's actually one of my favorite times is actually just to go Just walk the floor and just walk around the expos now.

Jason Atwood: There's two expos, they're the same as last year, but they're in different places. So there's a lot to go and see and just don't feel like you're flying from place to place because you got to get to this session. Give it a break. Like first of all, a lot of them are repetitive. A lot of them are actually repeated on different days.

Justin Edelstein: And, They are on YouTube two weeks later. If you really, really, really, really, really want to see it, you can see it whenever you want. Go to a few, don't. don't throw it to me. And I'll say,

Jason Atwood: And as a side tip to, don't take too much swag. Take none.

Justin Edelstein: I... Take Arkus swag and that's it. That's right.

Jason Atwood: Don't over swag. Don't take the bag. Because here's the thing, you're gonna think that you want it. And it's gonna look cool for about five minutes as you walk around the floor. And as soon as you, you walk off the floor, you're gonna be like, wow, I gotta carry around this all day. Oh man, I gotta go to the Hilton and that's 15 minutes away. And then you're gonna bring it back to your hotel room and then it's gonna look even less, it's gonna look like less. Then when you pack it, it's gonna look even less. And then when you get back and you open up your bag and you're back at home and you're looking around your dwelling that you live in and you look at the stuff that you took, you're gonna think, Thank you.

Jason Atwood: Why did I. So take a few good things, or if and a few like like if you collect pins, like we have a hat over in the corner here Got pins. Got tons of like we're giving away like we're giving away like we're giving away like we're giving away like we're giving away like we're giving away like we're It's a waste. How about the bag? I have Okay, it could be a Farangamo bag. It could be a lock hard steep bag It could be an apple bag you've showing off your knowledge. No fashion. No, no, no You showing up your That's my knowledge. I don't know anything. you could have said any word it doesn't matter because you're not gonna if you unless you have a very specific purpose, but I have I have literally three bags.

17:33 Jason Atwood: One is like my day today slingshoulder one. One's my travel bag and that and I have another one which is my old leather, very serious leather bag. I don't need any more bags than that. So give me one last tip. Comfy shoes. Get comfy shoes.

Justin Edelstein: If you don't have, and you should have multiple pairs of shoes. So I typically have a pair of shoes for the day. Right. And then depending on the evening, there might be a pair of sneakers going on. Right. Because it is a lot of on your feet. There's a lot of walking. It's a lot of standing and my feet are no good. So I need. Very comfy shoes. I I only buy one brand of dress shoe specifically because they're very comfortable and they look nice and then I always bring a pair of sneakers and I will Typically try to bring like this year where we're doing the 5k. I'll have to bring my running sneakers as well So I actually have like three pairs of shoes that I can Intermingle three, that's too many. Yeah running shoes aren't very good looking so no you can't wear them out purple And yeah, they are like made to be these are running You don't not wear these out, but comfy shoes Imperative and also just look at the weather before you go out there San Francisco is somewhat unpredictable it's usually colder than you think and You know here in the Northeast It's kind of warm.

Justin Edelstein: I'm walking around in a t-shirt today and no jacket. Right. And I know you're wearing shorts. Yes. That's not gonna fly in San Francisco. I won't break shorts. So have a jacket, have a whatever to go out at night. My last tip,

Jason Atwood: And this is a big one. That was my last one. My last tip is hydrate. So one of the, I don't know, I don't know how healthy everybody's listeners are or whatever, but I find that when I'm at home, like right now I've got this water sitting here because my voice is going, but I I'm always constantly drinking water. I drink water all the time. Water is good for you, whatever stay hydrated, blah blah blah. But when I travel, because water is hard to get and it's expensive and it's like, and it's not your water and you can't just go pour it out of the sink because you don't know where it came from and it could have poison in it. Like you just, you don't drink as much water. So you get dehydrated. You get your hydrated from the plane getting there and then you party and you drink and you get dehydrated and then you don't drink enough and then you go do all this other stuff and you don't drink enough.

Jason Atwood: So my trick is hydrate the heck out of yourself. So I, my tip, I get to the hotel, I then go to the bodego or whatever. You don't have to do the same exact thing. We don't do it together either. No, I just grab, I used to grab two, I might grab four this time. Huge. Yeah. The big. The big quart water things. The big water things. And I try to drink one a day because I drink the drink in the morning when I wake up, I drink it the night before I go to bed. head. I mean, I'm not back at my hotel the whole time, but like, just drink water a lot, because you will, half of everything else, that's where you get sick, you get dehydrated, whatever. So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. And then you can drink a lot of alcohol, which is always awesome.

20:36 Justin Edelstein: People are always craving coffee at drink wars. I'm not a coffee drinker. You know coffee is not a diuretic. It doesn't do anything for me, so. Oh, I drink a lot of coffee. I do not. So it doesn't. really matter much to me to drink coffee or I know a lot of people are like oh I need coffee coffee yeah

Jason Atwood: I like coffee all right so there's a dream force tips and hits let's get on to the pre announcement this

Justin Edelstein: Is the very special this is not even pretty it's it's being announced right now well it's the pre announcement to the world all right if you're listening this podcast you

Jason Atwood: Are hearing something that no one else will hear until Monday That's correct. So a while back, Unless you're a troll. We've been talking about, we've been talking about our want to do another app. The super secret app. The super secret app. And the story became, I think I started to tell the story, not telling what it was, but the story was that when Salesforce One Mobile came out, we all got all excited and we said, oh, we want to do some mobile app-age. Let's get mobile, let's do whatever. right And as and it was tough. It was not fun. It didn't look good and it was taking lots of time and AKA money to do it. We said, you know what, I was at a conference talking to Salesforce People The MVP conference, we got to talk and we said, hey, we're struggling with this, can you help me out?

Jason Atwood: And their advice, I don't remember the person was, but the person said, What we should do is basically don't try to design it like the app that works inside the thing. Design it like you're designing it from scratch. At which point we said, oh, that's terrible. We have to design this whole thing from scratch. It's an old app. We've done lots of work. Why don't we just build something brand new? So we're an iterative shop. We said, let's build something new for ourselves. Let's build ourselves a... our own little app, right? Our own little Salesforce one mobile app only for Arkus, which is a time booking app. We're consultants. That's what we do all the time. We book time. So we built a little Salesforce one time I wrote the user story over the weekend, send it off to you and we had it built out and I was like, Oh, we learned a lot of things.

Jason Atwood: We learned about we learned some stuff. We learned about what can feel we learned about where to land, we learned about what the difference is between working in and outside of the Salesforce one shell and all that. So we thought, okay, then we had had a conversation with our very good friend, Adam Torman, correct,

Justin Edelstein: Over a year ago, it was a long time ago, it was we were talking about August 2000, we're talking about their permissioner and what, like the next sort of thing we should do with the permission or might or could or should be and we sort of rat-holed into this conversation.

Jason Atwood: Well, he mentioned, he said, here's a bunch of stuff that's coming down the pike, not sort of, eh, safe harbor a little bit, but like stuff he's working on. And since he is a person who had kind of given us the permissioner, he said, you know, there's a lot of stuff going on with API, API first for a lot of things, API first, API, API. the FBI. He said, you're going to be able to do a lot of things with the API that you can't do with the the UI. We kind of thought about that for a, during all this piece that we said, alright, let's build something, let's build a, for Dreamforce, that was the impetus, let's have a new app to show at Dreamforce, let's build a brand new app that does a specific thing, and so...

24:54 Justin Edelstein: We Dig a little deeper into things that are affiliated or associated to the user record like permission like permissions. As which were big fans of anyway, which is, how we kind of rat hole into the I'm into that conversation right and and the API is still not complete not use a record. Not everything is there for you to get out, but there's still there's quite a bit of stuff to actually get to

Jason Atwood: So with that with that set of API's we came up with Well, we came up with an app that we thought was what we'll build an app that allows you to take a user because this is a common Sales for the quest it happened to be the other day The quest comes comes in you you're sitting there at your desk or, or you're out to lunch I guess if this is the mobile story and someone says hey

Justin Edelstein: I like to tell it a little differently. Well, I'll tell my way and then you tell your way. Alright, go ahead. You tell your way. So I like to tell it as a commuting, as a commuter, as an admin. Because I used to do this all the time. Okay. I'd be sitting on the train. And I'd either be on my way in or I'd be on my way home. And my train ride was an hour. Right. And... I had and it's like, okay, so I just got this request from this hiring manager, this HR person or my boss or somebody else to make a new user in Salesforce and make them just like this other person. Right, because they usually say that when they give you the request.

Jason Atwood: They never say, oh, just build a new user, we have to ask all the questions. They should be just like this other person.

Justin Edelstein: Sometimes they say, can I just get a new user? And you have to say, wow. There's a little bit more to it, like what, and the way to sort of get to the answers is easiest to just say, well, who do they need to be like? And they say, oh, just make them like Johnny. Okay. So the idea is you can be there on your mobile. You can open up Salesforce one. You can click on the app called clone this user, CTU for short. And with a search box, you can search for Johnny. You can find Johnny, you click on Johnny. It lands you on a screen with six input fields. First name, last name, email. They're the only three you even need to fill out. Because that kind of fills out the rest for you.

Justin Edelstein: The username, the alias, and their nickname. You hit the clone button after you've said yes, please generate. You can actually check yes or no, generate password immediately or no. Just want to create the user. Click clone and all of a sudden that new user is created with the exact same role, the exact same profile, a bunch of settings. There's The checkbox is like work.com user marketing user, salesforce 1 user, salesforce CRM content user, knowledge user, site.com contributor, site.com-publisher user, data.com-monthly-addition limit. All those things that are in that user record that are deep in there get moved over to the new user. Along with any permission sets that that user that you've cloned had assigned to them any permission set licenses Any cues that they're a member of and any public groups that they're a member of so all the sharing and all the email No longer do you Yeah, no custom fields.

29:21 Justin Edelstein: You know, we could, I don't know how we would do that, but whatever. And then there was some other, And then we thought about and got advised not to we thought about the The share like a sharing Right like like manual share Advised like don't kill you'll blow thingsUTF That is the product. It's a very simple mobile first design. So it's an app that you that sits within the Salesforce container. So as an administrator you you put it as part of the navigation. You click on it. It loads the very simple search box with a very small set of instructions. It's very simple. You search, you find, you click on the clone. You fill out the few fields, you hit the clone button, and all that work is done for you. They get the email sitting there in their inbox with the temporary username, password to click on, and so on and so forth.

Justin Edelstein: They're a Salesforce user now.

Jason Atwood: Just another b and of and the actual version that we will be launching with. We want to say that there is current and current so that

Justin Edelstein: There's some, I'm not gonna get into the whole thing, but there's some, issues with the way that it actually, or acts with, with, but it's a far in the background, or web kit in the background. So,

Jason Atwood: If you're on an iPad,

Justin Edelstein: You've got a lot of, a lot of, work sideways and top and bottom on an eye. We should also custom link that you page layout, right, called clone. And when you put that link on that layout, you click the link and it lands you on a page with the same six input fields. You, type in the information, you hit clone, and it... lands you back onto the user that you've just created. So you can do this, not only will it save you time, you know, on the road and doing it on the mobile, but if you really are just sitting at your desk and someone says, can you make this user just like that one? Well, you can just go to the user that they want, click the clone button, enter the three pieces of information, hit clone, and done.

33:32 Jason Atwood: Saved a lot of time there too. So... You as the podcast listeners, you get first access to it probably over the weekend because we. We're not really going to publicize it until Monday. So what we would love since you are the loyalist and bestest fans. Ever. If you download it, install it, and if you love. It love it a lot. You love it so much that you go back to the AppExchange Listening and believe a review.

Justin Edelstein: We'd love to have a couple reviews. If we launched with reviews, that would be fancy.

Jason Atwood: That would be so fancy. So. All you loyal listeners, we'd love that to have it. Again, only if you like it, if you don't want to use it, don't use it, we don't really care. But it's, oh, and the price, oh, we forgot, ooh, so. The price. The price. How much would you pay for this app? So this reminds me of a funny story when we worked back at the company that shall not be named. Right. This big... in a firm that built a software package that was meant for the financial advisors came in and tried to sell it to us while we were working there. You remember this. And their pricing model was what we're going to price, how we're going to price, calling this user. Their pricing model was, they came in and they said, this app is so revolutionary and will save you so much time.

Jason Atwood: Sorry, star.

Justin Edelstein: Yeah, you just remembered. No, I already remembered. I didn't think you'd name it. I didn't think you'd throw it out there. Yeah.

Jason Atwood: So he said, we, this app is going to revolutionary. It's going to save you so much time. All we want, all we want, this is all we want is we just want a percentage of the salary or the earning potential. The earning potential. Of the people who were saving the time for. Right. The revenue. So they made a calculation. This is the most ridiculous. They made a calculation. They said, well, you've got, let's say 30,000 people in the field, their average. between admins and financial advisors is like $300,000 a year. We're going to save them up to 100 or like an hour a week. And so we only want like 10% of the time that we save them based on their salary. And it came out of like eight or $12 million a year.

Jason Atwood: Right something would be useless. It was an incredible sales pitch. It just made everybody just go Are you insane you want to buy a kind of liked?

Justin Edelstein: The idea of the product, I think people were skeptical of how good it would actually work, but like the idea, it was a good idea. But then when it was like, so what's your pricing model? Everyone sort of just like got angry. I was like, this is, this is, we're not buying some software, we're paying you for the time you're saving us. Yeah, so that's how we're pricing CTU. We're thinking about how much time we're gonna be saving the admin. in creating new users. That's right.

Jason Atwood: And basically. So every user that you clone with, clone this user, you have to send us a check for the amount of time that you saved divided by your hourly wage. Right. And send that to us. Right, that's how it works. Yeah, you just put a check in the mail. Or you could just install it, use it for free and not. KATHRYN We'll be right back. not send this out. Well, no, but it'd be nice if you just sent us a little check.

Justin Edelstein: We could send us a check if you want. But if you don't want to, you can just install it and use it for free. So in other words, it's free on the AppExchange.

36:37 Jason Atwood: And we hope you like it. For the swag, we have some nice swag. We have a colonist user pin. So the logo, as you will see, is two sheeps. Two sheeps. Clone this user. Two sheepens. Two sheep. Sheepeye. Sheepenesis. Sheep-er-penn-is-is. Sheesh-er-penn-is-is. Something like that. And we are also gonna have little squeezy sheep at the booth. So stop by the booth, pick up a sheep,. Pick up up a pin to-to-put on your lanyard. We're also gonna have permissioner pins. Oh man. People love. For you permissioner lovers. Permissioner junkies. You'll get a permission or pen Stop by the booth, N1032 in the north. It's open, I think it's open almost the whole time that the thing's open, and we'll probably be there. And also stop by and see us podcast.

Jason Atwood: Next time on CloudFocus Weekly, we'll be doing three live sessions, and we'll be probably talking about Dreamforce a lot. Yeah, so stay tuned all next week all next week. So we'll do them live. I'll try to push them up at least that day If I can it's gonna be a little tough because well actually the first one I can do right after but anyway right there So let's get to our cloud focus at pick of the week. You still haven't filled anything in that means you know We don't have anything. I was gonna pick I was gonna pick the Dreamforce app. Okay,

Justin Edelstein: Okay. It's gonna be available You So I have to. Imagine that it's just like prior years. So in prior years you were able to Use the chatter feed, you know for either sessions or the overarching Feed for the conference, which this year is I guess the community You have the map you have the ability to pass I think the This is hard because I haven't seen the app. I'm hoping it does all this stuff in years past. You could you could scan People's badges with it like as a business card. Yeah type of thing where you all of a sudden have their information You should have your agenda in there, I think is probably the most useful piece of the app, which is here's my agenda so anything you've signed up to do you have right there in your pocket and You know, I'm hoping that the trend trend where inside of sessions, chatter is used to get all the questions the moderator at the end.

Justin Edelstein: Bring up those questions. So I'm hoping there's more to it. But just know that there's a Dreamforce app. You should always have it. You should have it downloaded. It should exist before. I heard it was coming out October 6. It's now October 9. It's probably stuck in the. Apple review process somewhere.

Jason Atwood: No, it should have been reviewed way before. And what they do is they can set when they want to launch it. See, it just feels a little late, but I guess if it's something you use, whatever.

39:43 Justin Edelstein: Well, I would hope it'd be a longer lasting thing, because on the regular success community, you'd think you'd think you'd be out for, you know, you wouldn't necessarily need this to ever change.

Jason Atwood: Yeah, you works on Android very well. There you go for us who never talk about anything Android we actually Salesforce one.

Justin Edelstein: Yes, that is the beauty of sales first one is that it's cross-platform The hard part is when it doesn't work. Well if it has an issue, I'll write there's nothing I can do about it nothing Nope. Just there is a known issue. You can vote for it.

Jason Atwood: Say it affects you. My app. I went look to see if you would pick this app and I don't think you did because I searched and I searched and I searched and I searched. I use this app constantly. I know and I'm going to pick it. So I am a deltoid. No, what about a delty? Delta Delta nine I fly Delta and you know you get into these things when you pick an airline and you like them I have a couple reasons why I like Delta first of all Delta flies out of a cordia and in both they have great Terminals they're clean. They're nice. They're new. They're modern. They have restaurants Delta has great terminals in both so that means you can find either one which is nice sometimes

Justin Edelstein: I fly out of one and we'll fly back to the other. I just flew out of the Guardia on Delta to Miami in July. Great terminal. Yeah great terminal. Very clean. Not a lot of seats though. They've cut back on the number of seats at the gate to add stuff. Stuff in the terminal. But like all the ordering from the I love all that stuff. And they buy pads and stuff.

Jason Atwood: I like Delta. Also, they have a great, my daughter has a peanut allergy and they have a great peanut policy which is that you call up and you say someone has, and they'll cut it from the flight which is very rare. So I love that about them. And so I have all my miles and whatever, and I fly Delta a lot. What also is good is they have a very good app. Their Fly Delta app, which is my pick of the week. Excellent. is very good. So if you don't use the, and it does extends into passbook. Yes So then it shows up on your screen, you walk right up, you just flick it, you throw the thing and the When

Justin Edelstein: You can check in 24 hours before you get a little a little badge You can check in now You swipe it, boom, you're checked in. It's fantastic You send the you send the boarding pass right to passbook like you just said It is a very good and now You repeat your words New

Jason Atwood: Ooh Yeah Like it just upgraded I saw It was the last upgrade but this is now new in the app is that in the, I guess in both app, because it's a universal app, now they're experimenting with, and I guess they're doing this, that you can watch movies and stuff while on the plane through the app. So you connect to the wifi of the plane. Oh yes, that is a true statement.

42:51 Justin Edelstein: I watched someone do that when I flew to Miami. My buddy was like...

Jason Atwood: On his iPad through the app watching a movie so because now they're realizing that why do we put all these screens in the back of Of seats. Yeah. Wow, we could have just well now you can use the app to do that as well So great app fly Delta zero dollars except for the plane take it. Oh, yeah by the flight Delta is good Delta comm enjoy and we will see you next week live Live hopefully at DF.

Justin Edelstein: Hopefully we'll see a lot of you I hope we'll see you see us when it read those out one more time one more time Well,

Jason Atwood: They're all over the place. But yeah Monday October 13th 2 to 2 45 Tuesday October 14th 12 to 12 45 and when's October 15th 1 to 1 45 we should have told we should have had our buddy Who we know? Put these as things you could put into your agenda builder Yeah, that would have been nice. I've been cool cuz then but the schedule is a little loosey-goosey Yeah, but now it's now it's set or again and we will oh and these are all on oh So go to blog that our kissing calm because they're on that blog post on the blog post.
